Boyfriend

So, Erin and Matt are disappointed that I haven't posted for almost a year now. I really have no excuses. I just don't like my layout and feel that if I liked it more I would want to post more. I will work on it and post more. Well, a quick note with some interesting news. I have a boyfriend. I have been dating Michael Thomas Rothe for about three months now. I met him about a year ago. He is in my ward and is one of the Elder's Quorum Presidents. Relief Society President dating Elders Quorum President. Crazy huh! Well, here is a picture of him and I! More to come later!

Camping in Green River and Goblin Valley

About the second or third week of April Megan called and wanted to take the kids camping and invited me to come along. We headed down to Green River, UT and stayed the night in the state park there. In the morning we drove out to Goblin Valley to see the rock formations. If any of you have been there you would know how amazing it is. Kayla and JT did really well camping and it was really fun trip.

Road Trip to Vancouver, Washington

At the beginning of April I had Spring Break. I decided to go on a road trip up to Washington to see Derek and Jill and the kids. I didn't want to go alone because of the long trip so I invited Keriann, a girl fom the ward, to come with me. This would be her first road trip. We left just after the first session of General Conference on Sunday. To split up the driving we stopped in Boise at the Palfreyman's house and spent the night. When we first got to Boise we stopped to see the Boise temple. Monday morning I went running and we headed off to Derek's.

On Tuesday we decided to go down into Oregon and see the Silver falls. We had a picnic and then ventured out to see three different falls. It was a great little hike for all of us down to some of the falls and we were even able to walk behind some of them.

On Wednesday we went north and visited Mt. Saint Helens. We were only able to visit the farthest visiters center because the closer ones were not open yet. We went on a little nature walk and saw two videos about the eruption of Mt. Saint Helens.

On Thursday we went again into Oregon and went to the beach in Seaside. It was the first time for Keriann to see the beach. We played around on the beach for a while thowing a frisbee and playing in the sand. I had thought of bringing my swimming suit but thought it would be too cold. After a while I just gave up and went swimming with my clothes on. Ellie was really cute running after the waves. We buried each other in the sand and had lots of fun. Afterwards we went down the street and got some ice cream.

We left Derek and Jill's house on Friday and took a detour to visit my first roommate, Kori, in Pasco. I hadn't seen her for about 3 or 4 years. It was good to catch up a little. I can't believe she has been married for about 6 years. That night we spent the night in Boise again and this time stayed with the Palfreyman's daughter Rachelle. We stayed there because they were giving a surprise party for their parents. Carrie and Camille came over that night just after I had gotten ready for bed. It was nice to see them.

Crazy Tiger

Yes, that really is me, you know Lindsay Lou!!

This last Wednesday a friend from the ward asked me if she could paint my face for her makeup class. It was really quite fun and it only took about 1 1/2 hours. I decided not to take it off until after I got home. I wanted to scare mom and dad. When I got home and entered the house mom was in the kitchen. She heard me come in but didn't expect what I was going to do. I ran toward her and screamed "roar". Mom almost had a heart attack because I scared her so much. She didn't even see my face but just the running at her and screaming scared her so much. In all seriousness she told me to never do that again. I literally almost gave her a heart attack. I was able to scare dad just a little bit also but not as much as mom.

Bishop's Ball

The girls in the photo are in my Relief Society Presidency.

About two weeks ago we had a Bishop's Ball with my ward and another ward close by. The night before the ball we were able to help set up for the ball. It was really fun and it always brings people together to help out. We ended up putting up a plastic ceiling with painters plastic and lots of Christmas lights. It ended up looking like a silky ceiling. If I ever get a picture of it I will post it. The night of the ball we all dressed up very nicely, had a catered dinner and danced for a couple hours. We even had dance cards, which was a first for me. Any of you who know me know that I just love to dance. You could say it is a passion of mine. The music was a variety of types but I also do love to country dance and ballroom.
